On December 23, 2022, Lanez was convicted for shooting and injuring fellow musician Megan Thee Stallion, whose real name is Megan Pete. Tory Lanez is waiting for his sentencing, which has been delayed several times already.
But the rapper claims he is innocent, adding in a letter to the Los Angeles District Attorney, “Today I take a stance as an innocent Black Man, wrongfully convicted of a crime I DID not commit. I was completely robbed and deprived of a fair trial.”
