The incident took place on Feb. 21, after the police department was informed about a feud between two families. When the officers arrived on the scene they saw the 13-year-old boy and 13-year-old girl fighting. The officer intervened and that’s when he pinned the boy down and grabbed his neck in a chokehold.
Bystanders were heard yelling and commanding the officer to release the boy.
Statements such as “That’s a little boy, get off of him!” and “You’re choking him!” were heard in the background.
