American Idol star and winner of season 18 Samantha “Just Sam” Diaz is back singing in New York City subways. Just three years after winning the show, the 24-year-old artist is singing for straphangers for money.
But Diaz isn’t hiding the fact anymore and is proudly documenting her journey on social media for people to see while she’s making her living off the cash and coins passersby leave in her donation box.
In a since-deleted post, Diaz admitted that she was ‘disappointed in herself for allowing herself to fall so low after winning Idol.’
