Desert Grooming
The North African Campaign took place from 1940 to 1943. The Allies and Axis forces both had foreign interests in Africa way before World War II began. The campaigns took place in Egyptian and Libyan deserts, in a snowballing conflict that would last for almost three years.

As they were part of the Commonwealth coalition forces fighting under Great Britain, Canadian soldiers were sent to North Africa to take part in the battle. Even military men need the occasional haircut during war, as shown in this picture of a Canadian pilot getting some grooming in the middle of the desert.
