Death of a Dictator
Long before WWII broke out, Hitler was fostering dissent and formulating Germany’s strategies for the war he had in mind. He was responsible for millions of deaths but seemed to have cared little as, even among other Germans, he established himself as superior. The man is still remembered as one of the world’s most ruthless and dangerous dictators.

Hitlers Death

Hitler and his wife, Eva Braun, allegedly committed suicide on the 30th of April, 1945. They did so to avoid being captured in Berlin. The German embassy in Sweden mourned the dictator’s death by lowering their flag when news broke. Since Hitler’s body was immediately cremated, it took until 1956 for him to be officially declared dead (and the internet still abounds with conspiracy theories claiming the suicide-cremation was faked to allow him to escape).
