With the help of a microscope, the archaeologists were able to identify where the strange object came from and what it was. It was the fossilized shell of an enormous turtle. As if that wasn’t crazy enough, another discovery linked to this one occurred far to the north, in an entirely different country, at the exact same time. When this came to light, the minds of all involved were collectively blown.
Finding a fossil is like getting a sneak peek into what happened in the past. Everything we know about our ancient history is thanks to these remnants. While some of them may not look much, they pack some pretty amazing stories about a time before written records.
