With a group of top-performing students and one brilliant professor on the case, they were able to quickly come up with a solid plan to help them move the bones without doing any damage.
Their strategy involved making use of the excavator to gradually lift out the skull with the help of some industrial strength straps. This way, the remains could be gently carried from the 10 foot hole to a safer place where the archaeologists could clean and assess them properly.
