Michigan and Argentina may be worlds apart, but it seems gossip travels at the same rapid rate in both places. Indeed, word of mouth is often a faster source of information than news broadcasts.
Of course, with great news comes great speculation and probably the most outrageous one was that the bones could be from a monster who was buried some years ago.
