Lanez was convicted in December of assault with a semi-automatic firearm, discharging a firearm with gross negligence and carrying a loaded, unregistered firearm in a vehicle.
The rapper reportedly got into an altercation with his then-girlfriend Megan Thee Stallion which turned violent. He allegedly told Meg to dance for him and shot her in the leg.
Weeks after the incident, Meg took to social media to share the incident and pictures of her wounds. The female rapper originally said that she cut herself on a broken glass however later testified under oath that she was shot by Lanez.
“I couldn’t walk for a while,” she testified. “I still have nerve damage. I can’t really feel the side of my left foot. The back of my feet are always sore, but I just push through it.”
