It was reported that the murder took place at Fairview Inn and Suites in Memphis, Tennessee on Friday. According to legal reports, Carter was in a Nissan Maxima while her boyfriend was in the hotel lobby when the two were shot by Murry.
Police later arrested Murry and charged him with double homicide.
