While it’s unclear exactly what prompted the arrest, his lawyer, Dawn Florio, made it clear that it was not for gun possession. The run-in arrives just days after Lil Tjay got into a scuffle backstage at Hot 97’s Summer Jam. A video surfaced online of the “Leaked” rapper being held back by security inside the UBS Arena in Elmont, New York while shouting at someone further down the hallway.
This isn’t Tjay’s first brush with the law, though, as just last month, he was forced to turn himself in for a previous gun charge – that, according to his lawyer Dawn Florio, was acquired when cops found guns in his car when he was the victim of a shooting last year.
