As per reports, the Sussexes also were not producing enough content as promised to the streaming platform. A day after the announcement, the company’s executive Bill Simmons called the couple “grifters” on his self-titled podcast.
“I wish I had been involved in the ‘Meghan and Harry leave Spotify’ negotiation,” Simmons said on his podcast last week.
“‘The F**king Grifters.’ That’s the podcast we should have launched with them. I have got to get drunk one night and tell the story of the Zoom I had with Harry to try and help him with a podcast idea. It’s one of my best stories … F**k them. The grifters.”

Reportedly, the deal Markle and Harry signed in 2020 with Spotify was worth $20 million.
“The podcast will no longer be produced at Spotify as we are mutually parting ways,” a representative for Archewell Audio told Insider last week.
