Additionally, the accused has been ordered to pay R$ 100 thousand in compensation for moral damages to the victims. The terror of Faria finally came to an end last week after he molested and abused more than 600 women in the last three decades.
At first, 12 strong women came forward in Dec 2018 and accused Faria of rape. Following those allegations, within 30 hours 200 more complaints of abuse were filed against him.
It quickly became one of the biggest sex scandals in the history of Brazil.
