Following the incident, NBA Commissioner Adam Silver said he was “shocked” and that the league and the team will be assessing the extent of further disciplinary actions.
“We’re in the process of investigating it and we’ll figure out exactly what happened as best as we can,” Silver said in a statement. “The video’s a bit grainy and all that, but I’m assuming the worst. We’ll figure out exactly what happened there.”
Things are pretty dire for the NBA star as this is his second gun incident. On March 4, Morant flashed a gun during an Instagram Live video while at a Colorado nightclub in the late hours of the night. Morant was suspended for his actions and also entered a counseling program in Florida.
