The time finally came when Damian, Victoria, and a small team of wildlife experts flew to Gabon in search of Ima and Djalta. Damian was excited to see his favorite primates again but was also anxious about how they would react to Victoria.
Despite the very real risk that someone might get hurt, the couple decided to brush off their fears and continue with the expedition. Victoria showed no signs of fear, giving the group enthusiasm that things could turn out for the better. Then came the first major challenge: finding two gorillas in a seemingly endless expanse of thick jungle.
