To this day, Ngoc’s true identity remains a mystery, and the truth about Robertson’s fate during the Vietnam War remains unclear. Some of Robertson’s closest friends and family, however, including his sister and niece, remain convinced that the man featured in Jorgensen’s documentary was the real John Hartley Robertson.
Jorgensen, meanwhile, is pleased that his documentary has opened up a conversation about the state of MIA and POW agencies in the United States. He proudly shared that after his documentary was released, the US government promptly began an overhaul of its agencies. This is an important step for all those people who continue their search for loved ones who have gone missing in conflicts from World War II on.
