Turner had earlier revealed that she had been diagnosed with hypertension way back in 1978, which according to her, she didn’t “care much about.”
Then in 2009, after a stroke, she found out that her kidneys had lost 35% of their functioning.
She shared that to survive she went through dialysis however, that was a “depressing” treatment for her and she eventually decided to undergo a kidney transplant in 2017 — thanks to her second husband, Erwin Bach.
But even after the transplant, things weren’t easy for the singer as she revealed that her body rejected the organ transplant for a long time.
