It was clear to everyone that Matt and Laura were very close and the best of friends. Everyone at their preschool knew that the two had a special bond. The weekends they spent together were special moments that they cherished, and with the way they treated each other, you’d think they were petite paramours. Matt was especially convinced that they were.
One day he declared his love for Laura and even announced to their entire preschool class that he’ll marry her one day. “Just you wait!” was his declaration to all as they laughed at this little boy. What would a four-year-old know about love, after all? Besides, childhood friends rarely maintain their close connection in the long run.
Little did all those doubtful kids and teachers know, but Matt’s declaration would come true, though their lives had to go through some twists and turns first.
