Their parents had promised weekend playdates but it was soon clear that their time together was steadily decreasing.
The two would still find ways to play and hang out. They even came up with a creative Christmas card with two other friends – a photo of the foursome. But all good things must come to an end and as the two started kindergarten and then progressed to higher grades, they saw less and less of each other.
It came to a point where Christmas cards were their only means of communication.
