Before Kelly received the sentence, a group of survivors who testified during his trial were given a chance to read victim impact statements. “You used your fame and power to groom and coach underage boys and girls for your own sexual gratification,” the statement read, according to The New York Times. “We are no longer the preyed-upon individuals we once were.”
