From what we can see, Janelle was at the event alone, traveling through the crowd with just a single security guard, as shown on video. Janelle began her musical career in 2003, but she’s also an actress, with a bunch of awards under her belt, including a Screen Actors Guild Award and a Children’s and Family Emmy Award. She has also been nominated for eight Grammys.
And her being herself and empowering others to do the same is very inspiring.
