The tennis champion is a long-time friend of Anna Wintour, the Vogue editor-in-chief who is also the Met Gala co-chair. That makes Williams a frequent attendee of the annual event to benefit the Metropolitan Museum of Art’s Costume Institute.
The 41-year-old stunner donned a fitted black gown with a white skirt while her husband looked stylish in a classic black and white tuxedo with a bow tie.
The theme of this year’s gala was “Karl Lagerfeld: A Line of Beauty”, in honour of the late Chanel designer. Everyone was required to wear black though numerous attendees didn’t follow the color code.
