Drug Dealer Pleads GUILTY Over The Wire’s Actor Michael K. Williams’ Overdose

Cartagena, 39, pleaded guilty to one count of conspiracy to distribute and possess, with intent to distribute fentanyl analogue, fentanyl, and heroin. As part of his guilty plea, the defendant said his actions “resulted in the death of Michael K Williams.” This carries a mandatory minimum sentence of five years in prison and a maximum sentence of 40 years in prison, the court papers added.

“I knew my actions were wrong and against the law,” Mr. Cartagena told the judge, speaking through a Spanish interpreter. “I am very sorry for my actions.”
