As reported initially, a 4th man named Robert Allen was also accused and arrested in connection to the murder however, he pled guilty last year to second-degree murder. Allen also agreed to testify against the other three men and disclosed that he was hesitant about the robbery to begin with and even asked the other men to drop the plan.
Defense lawyers for the three men argued that the DNA evidence failed to link them to the shooting. Based on this the jury decided separately on each man’s guilt or innocence.
The defense team also dragged rapper Drake in connection to the murder and pulled out old Tweets that the two rappers exchanged years ago.
