Two armed men (Michael Boatwright and Trayvon Newsome) exited the SUV and attacked the rapper while he was sitting in the driver’s seat. The men forcefully entered XXX’s vehicle and stole a small Louis Vuitton bag containing $50K after which they shot the rapper multiple times.
The men fled the scene in their SUV. XXX was later transported to a nearby hospital where he was pronounced dead.

A surveillance video played during the trial in court showed the rapper’s vehicle being blocked by the S.U.V. as he attempted to leave a motorcycle dealership.
The list of evidence also included videos that showed the men dancing and posing with cash hours after the murder.
