Bryant Tejeda-Castillo allegedly stabbed Dana multiple times on the Hawaii highway and fled the scene. He was later arrested and charged with second-degree murder and his bail is set at $1 million.

Dana’s mother revealed that she had plans to go back to her hometown in Virginia after the divorce where she would have lived her life and raised her future child.
