Everyone knows that fossils can be worth a fortune, whether sold to a museum or a wealthy collector. With such a potential gold mine on his hands, James’ decision was just as shocking as his discovery was: he chose to donate it for free since he didn’t have a use for the bones and they were really just getting in the way of his gas pipeline project.
James had seen how hard the students and their professor worked on unearthing and preserving the remains. He’d also seen the excitement in their eyes throughout the whole procedure. He just didn’t have it in him to ask for money. Such a good heart!
