Queen & Slim star Jodie Turner-Smith reveals: “I hated my dark skin” in a recent Instagram post. Yesterday, the Essence magazine cover actress wrote a lengthy post on the social media app where she discussed her struggles growing up as a dark-skinned Black girl. The post has garnered over 30,000 likes and almost as many comments saying that she is beautiful.
