The Hanging Pole
Today in things you don’t see often: a ghostly power pole. While utility power poles are a pretty common sight along roads and highways, this one is definitely unique. The remaining upper part of the pole is surprisingly still intact thanks to the support of those tightly-strung wires. The majority of the pole was unfortunately engulfed by fire, but, who needs an entire pole when you can apparently survive with just the tip?
We can’t say exactly when this photo was taken, or when the fire happened, but boy are we happy someone was able to capture this image before the wires surrendered. We also can’t help but think, despite the pole’s sorry state, is everything else still working fine? Because if it is, then there’s no need to fix it, right? And, we are also kind of puzzled as to why only one pole was damaged by the fire. Your thoughts?
