Queen Elsa’s Masterpiece
Would you believe it if I said that the picture below is of a real iced-over pond? It may seem like the work of Queen Elsa from Frozen, but this pond located in Switzerland and was frozen by nature. It does look otherworldly, though, doesn’t it? This magical masterpiece looks so magnificent it’s hard not to stare for hours on end, trying to identify if these shapes form any pattern.
It is also kind of difficult to understand how these beautiful textures and intricate geometric shapes were formed, knowing that water usually freezes flat. The mystery of how this gem was created certainly adds to its charm. I guess it just really goes to show how unpredictable Mother Nature can be.
