The Paris Anamorphosis
In order to raise awareness among residents of nature and its significance to the city, Paris had this magnificent optical illusion commissioned. It is their approach to honoring the “season under the trees.” The masterpiece is a 3-D globe magically rising from the pavement and was created by artist François Abélanet.

Known as anamorphosis, this type of art is described as a distorted image or perspective that needs its viewers to either occupy a particular vantage point or use a special device to understand and appreciate its beauty. The globe measures 120 meters by 25 meters and was on display at the Paris city hall for 15 days.
