Two Pics, One Word
Contrary to what you might be thinking, this image is not a combination of two photos glued in the center. It is not retouched or Photoshopped either. As hard as it may be to believe, this is actually just one photo. While the image looks amazing, the story behind it is haunting. The culprit behind this enchanting image is not paint, but a toxic sludge spill.
It was 2010 in Hungary when a dam that contained hefty loads of red mud, an aluminum extraction byproduct, accidentally shattered, spilling the toxic substance in the town of Devecser, killing ten people and seriously injuring 150. The trees in this park serve as a memory of the disastrous incident.
