The Long and Winding Road
Here is another spectacular sight to see in Norway: the Atlantic Road located along the Norwegian Coastline. At first glance, it seems like this road is way too loopy to be functional. But, the 5.1 mile-long road is actually considered one of the most scenic drives in the country. The popular attraction has eight bridges, with construction starting in 1983 and taking six years to finish. The road’s curvy features, with various high and low points, make it a famous spot that road-trippers and motorcyclists love to traverse.
Warning, though: it is not safe to travel down this road in the middle of a storm. Sadly, storms occur pretty often in this part of the country. When the weather is clear, though, it is just the best. Travelers even get to see whales and seals if they’re lucky.
