Don’t Look Down
For our next entry, check out the Hardanger Bridge in Norway. Specifically, we are looking at the bridge’s main cables, with the brave construction workers busy at work. I wouldn’t look down if I were them, because these towers reach 200 meters or 660 feet above sea level.
The actual bridge is almost 4,300 feet long, making it a touch longer than San Francisco’s Golden Gate Bridge. It is the longest bridge in Norway and the ninth longest in the entire world. I sure hope those construction workers don’t feel queasy working so up high. If you are in this line of business, you really need a whole lot of courage.
