The Alien Spaceship Is Summoning You
I wonder what I would feel if I actually encountered this scene in person. It definitely looks as if an alien ship is about to emerge from this giant tornado and take anyone within reach to its distant home planet. This picture is so unbelievable it earned the first place award in the 2014 National Geographic Traveler Magazine Photo Contest. We have Marko Korosec to thank for capturing this moment in eastern Colorado in May of 2013.
If you are still clueless as to what on Earth this is, we are here to enlighten you. This is actually a formation of low precipitation supercells which storm chasers dub as “motherships.” These storms form a rotating updraft that lead to tornadoes that drop excessive amounts of rain and hail.
