Normandy Invasion
The Allied forces launched the biggest naval invasion in history during the battle for Normandy. Also known as Operation Overlord, they initiated the attack on the 6th of June 1944, establishing positions at strategic locations along the northwesternmost coast of France.

The operation involved careful planning and was considered one of the most stressful events of World War II. General Dwight D. Eisenhower, an American official, briefed the paratroopers prior to their mission, encouraging them to do their tasks with confidence.
