Post-D-Day
One the 6th of June 1944, Allied troops landed on the Normandy coast in an event known as D-Day. The plan was to first liberate France from German occupation and then move on to other campaigns designed to free Europe from Germany.
Post D Day
Although the Allies were successful in their operation and the Germans surrendered afterwards, it also came at a huge cost, claiming thousands of lives on both sides. It would forever mark a milestone in our history, as one of the most memorable battles in World War II.
