Keeping the Little Ones Safe
The Blitz was a bombing campaign initiated by the Germans against Britain. They would perform mass air attacks on towns and cities in 1940 and 1941. From the 7th of September 1940, the Luftwaffe systematically bombed London for 56 out of the next 57 days and nights.
Safe Children
The British were concerned that the Germans would soon employ the use of poisonous gas in their attacks and made sure that gas masks were given to everyone, including children. The attacks damaged over a million houses and more than 40,000 civilians were killed.
