The Disturbing Truth
American and British soldiers made sure that the German soldiers and civilians knew the truth behind what really went on inside Nazi concentration camps. These camps were used to hold and torment their opposition as well as people they considered “undesirable,” such as the Jews, Poles, and clergymen.

When the first concentration camps were built in Germany in 1933, they held about 45,000 prisoners. When the servicemen of Germany were shown the atrocities that went on in the camps, many weren’t able to contain their emotions at the disturbing truth.
