In May of 1940, the German forces attacked France, quickly defeating the French army. The German occupation was a period of frustration and humiliation for Parisians, who had to endure a curfew as well as rationing of supplies under the regime.

Hitler In Paris

Hitler can be seen in the photo, accompanied by other high-ranking German officials, taking a casual stroll around Paris. They used some of the major French landmarks in their propaganda. While Hitler only spent three hours in Paris, he declared it one of the most beautiful cities.
