A Secret Subway Station in New York City

Under City Hall in the city of New York lies a secret subway station that looks way nicer than the dingy ones we use today. It was a highly awaited project due to its prime location in the US, and a lot of effort was put in producing the initial design.

Despite the gorgeous façade of the station, it never came to fruition due to the twists and turns of its tunnels. It was deemed todangerous for train navigation and closed in 1945, never to have seen even a day of use. If you want to catch a glimpse of this secret subway station, the good news is that they sometimes open it for walking tours.
