Deep in Sorrento, Italy, if you know the right path to take, you can find an abandoned mill resting in a majestic valley. Based on reports, the mill was left neglected in 1866 and has stayed that way ever since. When it was still operational, the mill ground wheat. There’s said to be a sawmill in the area too.
Unlike some structures where the reason for their abandonment is unclear, this mill was deserted for an understandable reason. When Tasso Square was built, it isolated the mill from the sea, causing humidity levels to increase in the area and forcing the workers at the mill to abandon it.
