A Sad Ending for the Michigan Central Train Station

The Michigan Central Train Station was once everything one could ever ask for in a transit center. It was built in 1913 under the assurance that it would bring in talent from the Midwest’s surrounding areas. Unfortunately, when the economy declined, the station crumbled too.

The train station was closed in 1988, although the structure still stands. Despite being empty for years, it has become an essential part of Michigan, with the station even being used by rapper Eminem when his movie, 8 Mile, was filmed. There are also rumors that Ford, the car company, is planning to purchase the property.
