Hotel Del Salto was built in 1928. Its main selling point to tourists was its proximity to the Bogota River, giving visitors the chance to get up close and personal with the waterfalls and Mother Nature herself. Due to concerns over safety, however, the hotel closed in 1991.
According to locals, the property is now haunted. Adventurous souls who dared to visit the property would hear strange noises during the night. We wouldn’t recommend visiting the hotel at night… unless a close encounter with the paranormal is what you’re looking for.
