When he served as the 7th president of the United States, Andrew Jackson aimed to advance the rights of the “common man” and to preserve the Union. He was the only president to pay off the total national debt, achieving a longtime objective.
But did you know that Jackson also utilized his IQ in coaching his pet parrot Polly to curse? The late president dedicated so much of his time and effort to teaching his pet that it had to be removed from his funeral because of its offensive utterances.
