The Smartest Presidents in American History

Richard Nixon – IQ 142.9
Richard Nixon was one of the most controversial US presidents. Despite holding an IQ of 142.9, he proves that intelligence is not enough to get the job done right in the White House. Accused of attempting to murder a journalist by exposing him to abundant amounts of LSD, as well as his major involvement in the Watergate scandal, Nixon proved he was too corrupt to be a smart leader.

When the Watergate incident escalated, Nixon’s political support declined. It was discovered that burglars were linked to Nixon and his officials. Instead of suffering the embarrassment and stress of his impending impeachment and removal from office, Nixon applied that big IQ of his and made the intelligent move of resigning in 1974.
