James Monroe – IQ 138.6
One of the Founding Fathers of the United States of America, James Monroe served as the fifth president of the country. Despite his “low” IQ score (compared to others on our list), political scientist Fred Greenstein claimed he was a more efficient president than his predecessors (John Adams in particular).

During his regime, Monroe supported the Missouri Compromise and helped unite the nation. His landslide victory in 1820 over Rufus King is proof that people loved him. Who could resist this house favorite when he contributed so significantly to the good of the country and the people?
