The Smartest Presidents in American History

Lyndon B. Johnson – IQ 140.6
Becoming JFK’s successor entailed a lot of pressure and hard work so when Lyndon Johnson assumed the presidency after Kennedy’s assassination, he had massive shoes to fill. Johnson got off to a controversial start by escalating the involvement of the US military in Vietnam. This led to the tragic result of increased American casualties and a stagnated peace process; hardly a stellar moment in his career.

With an IQ of 140.6, Johnson was famously unapologetic and unembarrassed about literally anything. He was known for inviting reporters to join him in his bathroom for interviews and would even put his manhood on display! In addition to his awkward bathroom interviews, Johnson was also caught peeing in the parking lot of the House Office building.
