Ripe For The Picking?
These hematite-rich spherules may be known as “blueberries,” but nope, there has been nothing edible discovered on Mars as of yet. In 2004, NASA’s Mars rover named Opportunity found these pretty, round pebbles. They are located near the Fram Crater and are the size of blueberries.

Along with these spherical formations found on the surface of the planet, some are also found deeper underground. These look a little bit different from the surface blueberries and are reported to have a very shiny surface that makes them look like they have been polished.
