Rocky is a sports drama movie depicting the rags-to-riches story of Rocky Balboa, an Italian American boxer. Sylvester Stallone didn’t just star in the film, he also wrote the story over one weekend. It ended up catapulting him to global fame.

The film was released in 1976 and since then has had three sequels plus a spinoff series. It became the highest grossing film the same year it was released and is considered one of the greatest sports films ever produced. It has a solid following even to this day.
